Whilst every care has been taken in compiling this website, Tank Aquariums and their authorised contractors make no representations about the accuracy or suitability of the information, images or links provided on this web site.


Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that information provided is accurate and up-to-date, How-ever, Tank Aquariums cannot be held liable for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies, however caused.


The information is provided to you ‘as is’, without express or implied warranty. You use the information, images and links “at your own risk”.


You should make your own assessment and evaluation as to the suitability of a product, or the information prior to purchase.


Tank Aquariums reserves the right to modify or withdraw the service in whole or in part, at any time without notice.


By “Submitting” an order with Tank Aquariums you are entering a “Binding Contract” and/or “Purchase Order”. Orders cannot be cancelled once an order is placed – Also see “Re-Stocking Fee’s” below.


Any typing or clerical error in regards to any price and/or offer of any product on the tankaquariums.com.au website or acceptance of any order shall be subject to correction.


By using this website you agree that any product advertised may be revised, re-priced, amended, withdrawn or discontinued at any time at the discretion of Tank Aquariums. In addition, and not limited to, Prices are subject to change at any time without notice.

Products


Tank Aquariums strives to only provide quality products. Aside from the products listed, we do have access to a larger inventory of suppliers and products and if required will be more than happy to try and source those products for you.


Special Order Items From time to time you will notice a remark on some products stating – Note: Special Order Item* This is usually due to the size of the item, or the fact that it may be an item that needs to be specially ordered from the supplier. If there is an item that has this remark, feel free to contact us prior to placing an order for an estimated wait time till delivery. If you do place an order for one of these items, unless the delivery time cannot be completed within 45 days the order cannot be cancelled. Items that require special handling or that have additional freight costs are also flagged with this remark.


Refunds are not offered, with the exception of your order not being filled within 45 days from order date, and are at Tank Aquariums’s discretion. Orders that are 7 or less days old will not be refunded. Refunds will not be offered on partially shipped orders, unless the remaining items are not provided within 45 days from order date.


Accepted Methods of Payments


We accept: Paypal, Visa, MasterCard,  American Express and Bank Transfer.


Direct Deposit (Once the order is placed we will contact you with account details) Please note: orders paid by Direct Deposit are not processed until funds clear into our Account; this is usually 24 – 48 hours after transfer has been submitted to your bank


In the unlikely case that you have problems processing an order via the website, please send an email to sales@tankaquariums.com.au with details of the product you wish to purchase, your contact telephone number, and the type of payment you wish to use (do not include credit card number in email). A Tank Aquariums representative will contact you to complete the transaction.


Shipping and Handling


Although we cannot do so with each and every order, we make every effort to ship your order the same or next day. We are able to send most goods via ground, or overnight services. We will ship to P.O. Boxes if required. (Under 20kg’s and/or 105cm in length only) Shipping to P.O. Boxes is via Australia Post only.


Tank Aquariums does not take responsibility for items ordered if you have given authority to leave. We utilize multiple shipping partners to facilitate the shipping of some items. This is done to help maintain adequate inventory levels, to keep our costs to a minimum when dealing with large or otherwise bulky items, and to increase our offerings with uncommon or seldom requested items.


All Deliveries are charged per order. All basic stock has a minimum $15.00* fee per order. Flat rate for shipping for items under 5kg in “short haul” zone. Eg From Kempsey in the North to Ulladulla in the South. Also Red Zone shipping which includes Canberra, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.


Any orders exceeding 5kg will incure an addition forr of approximately $5.00/5kg.


Any deliveries requiring Airfreight will be charged at freight carriers cost, you will be resposible for airport pick-up. We will advise you of costs prior to shipping, as well as comfirming the Airway bill number with you.


Other areas within NSW, ACT, VIC and Coastal SE QLD, SA, WA, NQLD, TAS, and for NT and remote areas of Australia up to 5kg* please contact for pricing as this will vary depending on carrier. (unless stated otherwise).


Large items, frozen, glass items and Special Order Items may not be covered by the standard Delivery fee, they are determined by weight in increments of 5kgs up to 25kgs. Any order exceeding 25kgs or of an unusual nature will be determined based on destination (we will contact you with additional shipping costs) Normally these items will be pick-up only.


All Deliveries are charged per order, in accordance to size and weight. Tank Aquariums reserves the right to adjust shipping charges if the incorrect option was selected, or if you live in a remote area where additional charges are incurred by us. We will contact you prior to doing so.


Tank Aquariums cannot and will not be held accountable for extra delays that can happen from time to time with ordered stock awaiting delivery, including “Special Order Items”. Refunds because of this delay will not be given unless over 45 days. Refunds will not be given if an order is partially shipped, unless the remaining items are not provided within 45 days from order date.


Tank Aquariums cannot and will not be responsible for delays due to couriers including and not limited to: Australia Post, Fastway Couriers, Couriers Please and/or any other contracted or delivery service. *Freight Charges may vary dependant on Specific Location.


International Orders


International orders are not currently accepted by Tank Aquariums


Damaged or Faulty Goods


Whilst care is taken when packing your order, it is your responsibility to ensure there are no breakages or missing items at the time of delivery. By signing for a delivery you are accepting that the order is complete and intact. If you order is partially shipped (i.e. there are products still to send, a remark will appear in the comments section of the shipping label).


If goods have been damaged or broken in transit then you must refuse to accept the order and notify us immediately. We will replace or repair any item that has been damaged in transit where required.


By signing for and accepting a delivery you are acknowledging that the product has arrived in good condition. If the packaging is damaged in any way please inspect the contents prior to signing for it.


Exceptions to this are at the discretion of Tank Aquariums


Prior to returning any products you must contact us for an RAN (Return Authorisation Number) for all returns. Merchandise returned without an RAN will be declined and returned to sender at thier expense.


All damage claims must be filed with the carrier (if damage is noted at the time of delivery). We will provide you full assistance in the unlikely event.


For warranty claims, please contact us to make appropriate arrangements. Tank Aquariums does not cover freight expenses on warranty claims.


Please select your purchase items carefully; as once a product has been paid for, and goods received in working order, you will not be eligible for refund or exchange.


Tank Aquariums does not take responsibility for items if you have given authority to leave.


Due to Courier policies Tank Aquariums is unable to offer insurance for damage occurring to Courier handling of glass tanks. No claims can be made or will be accepted for glass aquariums. Tank Aquariums recommends customers take out their own insurance for these items. Tank Aquariums cannot and will not be responsible for damages due to couriers including and not limited to: Australia Post, Fastway Couriers, Couriers Please and/or any other contracted or delivery service.


All returns must be made within 7 days of delivery.


Re-Stocking Fee’s


A Re-Stocking fee of 50% will be charged to returned items. This charge is to cover the cost of Freight, Handling, Administration charges, which may also include and not exclusive to, any other incurred cost or loss by Tank Aquariums. Tank Aquariums reserves the right to charge this fee to any item returned particularly if the item is deemed as Perfect Working Order.


Refusal to accept and sign for a delivery will also incur this fee.


Spare Parts


At Tank Aquariums we have a different approach to spare parts and accessories. Instead of loading the website with thousands of parts we offer a direct request system.


Contact sales@tankaquariums.com.au with the part you are after (include model number, brand etc) and our guarantee is to provide you with an exact discounted price and availability within 12-24 hours (usually the response time will be within 1-2 hours during business hours.


Live Plant Sales


Due to the delicate nature of some Aquatic Plants we have strict procedures in place so as to ensure you get the plants that you ordered, in a speedy manner with the Plants in as good of health as possible. Note: We do not accept any claims for Plant health, size or condition.


Order Deadline: To ensure you get your plants in the best condition possible, orders must be received by 10:00am (AEST) each Monday. Any orders received after that time will be placed in the following week’s shipment. (Exceptions to this can be made for large or specialty orders, please contact us at sales@tankaquariums.com.au for more information).


Minimum Purchase: Due to the extra handling and care required with Live Plants, there is a minimum purchase requirement.


* Minimum of 5 plants * Minimum of $40 transaction (excluding delivery charge) (whichever is lowest, i.e. 5 plants at a value of $25 is OK)


Seasonal Plants: Most plants that we have access to are listed on this website as being available. Occasionally, due to seasonal changes or unforeseen circumstances some plants may not be available. For this reason, ALL Plant Orders are subject to our “Special order Item” conditions – See Above.


Plants are ordered at your own risk, whilst all measures are taken for adequate packing, Tank Aquariums cannot and will not be responsible for damages and/or death, due to couriers including and not limited to: Australia Post, Fastway Couriers, Couriers Please and/or any other contracted or delivery service.


Due to State regulations, we cannot send Live Plants into Western Australia


Hours of Trade


Being an online store, we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. From time to time the website may be offline for maintenance purposes, however check back after a few minutes and everything should be back to normal. Support staff will be on hand 7 days a week to take your enquiries.
